I am rather disappointed that no-one has replied to my last posting. I am also rather surprised that no-one mentioned the fact that "Faith of Our Fathers" used to be sung before the All-Ireland Championship Finals in Hurling and Football just as "Abide With Me" was sung before that great celebration of English sporting prowess, the FA Cup Final (Soccer). Both rituals have long since been done away with. Not because they were seen to be divisive, but because they were thought to be inappropriate to purely sporting occasions. Cormac
