I also remember hearing the British Consul in Bordeaux being interviewed on BBC Radio some years ago and he talked about the 'Hundred Years War' between Britain and France - pretty funny when you consider that Scotland was an ally of France at the time. The tune of 'Scots Wha Hae' (Hey Tutti Tatti)is still played by French Military bands quite regularly (not to mention quite tunefully). Joan of Arc had a number of Scots companies in her army! Jack
