Christy may have wrote the lyrics but the tune is the same as "Erin's Green Shore" Oh that lady I never will forget her And green was the mantle she wore As she followed the shamrock of freedom And rode around Erin's Green Shore I don't know whether that came before or after "Red River Valley"
