I went to a one room school for grades 1 through 6. Strangely I have no memory of any music making. I remember a travelling music teacher and that we were taught to recongnize a scale, the staff, clef signs, etc. The teacher came once a week but I can't remember sining or playing anything. I'm sure we must have but the memories are gone. I remember my parents and their friends singing during the same time period.
