My company is planning to send me to Perth to set up an operation to support the marketing and sales in SE Asia as well as India. Hence Perth has been chosen as a good spot.

I have been there before but only for a few days at a time and never had a chance to look at the live/session music scene.

Are there any catters in Perth or anyone who knows the folk/trad music scene there? Also what folk festivals are held around Australia.

The move will not happen for about 6-8 months as I have to hand over here in China. Might even have to change my name as I will no longer be in Shanghai. Any suggestions?
