peter; I sympathize. We have a mac 6500 and a G3. The G3 often won't hook up because the line speed is too slow for the modem. When either of us does hook up we often download at speeds of 250-400 bytes! The fault is the old rural copper lines which Telus will not upgrade, so when we are hooked up we just poke along and read a book while we download. richard
