Right now in Portland, OR, it's a "balmy" 95 degrees (35 C) and climbing -- although I don't think we'll get to 100 today; yesterday it was 101 (38 C). Saturday it was only 93 (33 C), but with 70% humidity (shades of Chicago). Friday it was 104 (40 C). The dogs have been hiding in the basement. We've been hiding with them. They say it should be safe to come out tomorrow. . . michael
