If you like a bright sounding set of strings try DR phosphor bronze(a vietnam vet buddy calls them "willie pete" or white phorphorous, LOL). I tried these a while back on my Gibson and have been using them every since. They have a really good sound and seem to stay bright longer. As alway YMMV!!! longhair
