Merle Travis had the most popular treatment of that phrase, but there was at least one other treatment by either the Blue Sky Boys or the Delmore Brothers:

Smiley Hobbs and company (Folkways - "Mountain Music Bluegrass Style") did a great twist on Merle's song by going up to the 4-chord first, then down to the 1.
