In reality, Hitler would have been destroyed in 1936 and the German Army was not prepared for WW2. Germany was inferior in ships and vehicles to the combined French and British fleets. Most of the infantry and artillery had little or no truck transportation, and had a hard time keeping up with the tanks. 1936 would have been the time to destroy the Nazi political control. Hitler would probably have been assasinated, or deposed if he had been beaten over the Rhineland. Chamberlain, was not strong enough nor visionary enough to see what was needed. Churchill was.
