I only play five string banjo, only one string is wound. You would think that it would be the only one that is different from other manufacturers, but I have not found this to be the case. I find that all of the Newtone strings sound better and last longer than other brands I have tried. I live near Toronto and stock up whenever I am near the Twelfth Fret. Newtone Banjo strings are about the same price as the other strings they carry and less expensive than the Gibson Earl Scruggs strings, which by the way were the worst sounding on my banjo.
