Remember the Dalesman's Littany: From Hell and Hull and Halifax Good Lord deliver me Either town, even in its present condition, has more about it than most of the rest of the UK. Why did Wellington raise his best regiment from the Halifax district? Both towns are suffering as a consequence of the politics, local and national, of the last 50 years. Their people deserve better. AB
