Kara Lyr Req: Song to the Siren (Tim Buckley) (42) Tim Buckley's Song to a Siren 19 Oct 06

Hi

Can any one throw any light on the meaning of words of this song.
The line that is troubling me is

"were you there when I was foc'sle"

or I have also seen it writen as

"where you hare when I was fox"

I believe the foc'sle reference to be some sort of shipping term, which would make sense, but then maybe the "there" should be some other shipping term.

got any clues?

Kara
