What a great traditional music weekend we just experienced in OK. On Fri, Cathy & Dave performed in concert at Rocky's Music Hall in Bricktown, OKC, a truly fine acoustic music venue. On Sat they conducted a song workshop for the Oklahoma City Traditional Music Assn (octma.org). - Music from The Golden Ring, lots of Folk Legacy music, and River Songs - Their next CD will be all about rivers, entitled (I think) "Livin' on The River".

Cathy & Dave, very talented and entertaining musicians, are extremely knowledgeable about their music and its origins. But most of all, they are simply great people to be around and to share music with.
For all you Right-coasters, they are doing a series of concerts & workshops (NY, CT, Mass, DC) with Ed Trickett in May. They are also hosting the Big Muddy Folk Festival in their hometown of Boonville, MO on April 7-8. In July & August, they'll be ridin' the river boats along the Tennessee, Cumberland, & Mississippi.
Don't miss them. If they are within a days drive, go; you'll be well rewarded!
