Just got back from (the) hospital. Mike is trying to wake up. When we say his name he will open his eyes. Still no finger squeezing. He lifts his arms, shrugs his shoulders, moves his legs. They have his ventilater set at only 700 (somethings) and most of his breaths are coming in at 1100 to 1500. That means he doesn't really need the machine anymore but they can't take the tube out till he really wakes up. He was off the kidney dialysis machine tonight. Kidneys AND bowles working great now. There doesn't appear to be any leakage and they will probably take the 4 drainage tubes out tomorrow. Another week in ICU then down to a regular room for a week or two.
