In a catholic orphanage in Phila. 3rd grade-we were sitting reading quietly while the nun was grading papers. Another nun burst in in tears and said Kennedy had been assassinated. I remember being dumbstruck. I thought that went out with Lincoln. We were glued to the TV for the next several days. The most empty-feeling Thanksgiving I can remember. It freaks me out that I can remember something from 43 years ago!
