In the late 70's Due to having to move from previous premises I moved my folk club to a hotel where we were given the use of the lounge bar. We were given the privilege of being allowed to charge at the door on guest nights. This was despite the pub's regulars who used the lounge frequently. The landlord even paid for them to come in when we had guests. Such consideration is lost these days. When the new licensees took over, the pub was transformed into open plan. The T.V and jukebox took over.
