It was Larkin, Liz. I only remember because it doesnt seem like a 'typical' Larkin poem, & because of his job at Hull University for many years. "They fuck you up, your Mum and Dad, They may not mean to, but they do, They fill you with the faults they had, And add some extra, just for you" ...thats the only verse I remember!
