That Timlin fella is another one. When he first got in from Coalisland, he lodged with my Uncle Jerry (may he RIP) until the incomer got a bit of traction under him. I first heard him at a expansive family party (I think it might have been the Fourth of July, 1976) in the car park of the pub adjacent to my barman uncle's humble rooms. The town was exploding for the Bicentennial... Timlin provided a small band. At last he proclaimed thru the mic: "That's enough now of the American Revolution, here's a few songs of the Irish Revolution!" and, to our delight, launched into "Irish Soldier Laddy".
