The Cry of The Wild Goose was written and recorded by Terry Gilkyson---Laine had the big hit on it. WHen I interviewed Eliza Gilkyson she mentioned how, as a little girl, she hated that version---so I sent it to her as part of the recorded interview. She loved it for nostalgia's sake and thanked me for it. Frankly---I liked it. As well as Mule Train and all the others---though I did like Tex Ritter's version of High Noon more. Do you also recall---Jezebel and Rose Rose I Love You. He also did some interesting covers of Hank Williams along w/ Put Your Hand in The Hand, in the Cool of the Evening---and so many more. Anyone remember his duets with Jo Stafford? Long fruitful life----good for him Bill Hahn
