I bought the 45 of Ring of Iron when it came out on the Pye label in 1967, and still have it. I had learnt it some years earlier from a guitarist called Dave Manship who played with Graeme before they became the Fettlers. Dave was more into country music (introduced me to Hank Williams music) so didn't stay around for the "fame" period. I remember Creel too, they used to be house band in a folk club at a pub in Stockton (maybe) that I used to go to. Good memories. cheers, Terry
