GUEST,Will Drover Matt McGinn (1928-1977) (36) RE: Matt McGinn 25 Feb 07

I am sure Matt would have found wicked pleasure in being compared to Rabbie. As he himself said :

" My father was a poet
and this is what he wro-ete
Beware of those whose eyebrows meet
For it's usually a sign of sweaty feet "

As well as a proper respect for Rabbie, Matt also had a soft spot for McGonogall, who he described as "Scotlands's worst poet" .

But Matt's real gift was in making people laugh

With some serious stuff in there as well.
