To Greycap and Foulestroupe - this was not about Britain trying to win the competition, it was about trying to encourage people to take up musical instruments by showing novices reaching targets and achieving in a short space of time. Whatever you may think about Frank Skinner's comedy, the programme gave some encouraging insights. Pete Stanley is clearly a cracking banjo player of the highest order - but maybe not talented as a teacher. Another pupil might have responded better to his teaching style. What matters is that Frank found a teacher whose style he could respond to and succeeded.
