Canberra Chris Bude Folk Festival---Musicians Wanted !! (65* d) RE: Bude Folk Festival---Musicians Wanted !! 21 Apr 07

Growler and Melodeon-boy,

Can we work something out? Far be it from the Shiny Bum Singers from Oz to stand in the way of a good sing or the launch of something new, or an extra performance (for the rest - it is we whom they are kindly hosting at the Good Intent Rochester at noon on Whitsunday).

The Shiny Bums are performing for the Met Office in Exeter on Wed 23 May, and had then intended to work our way back east to Rochester via Chippenham and maybe Edenbridge or Battle, though we had no gigs arranged.

We are therefore on hand for Bude as an alternative, if it would work without in any way jeopardising the Rochester gig.

Since the main driving hazard for Aussies in England is not realising we are already approaching the opposite coast, our sense of time and motion for a zip from Cornwall to Kent may benefit from local advice. Could we, and maybe Growler and Melodeonboy too?, be in a concert in Bude on Saturday afternoon, and get back to Rochester that night in reasonable shape for Sunday? The Bums will have two hire cars between five, so lifts back should be possible if that helps.

Lucy - if it works out, the Shiny Bum Singers would be happy to be on your program. We are a well-known festival crowd-pleaser here, and remember being supported ourselves when new.

Sorry for taking up so much thread space, any responses maybe via PM to Canberra Chris?

Canberra Chris
