I met Dodi only once or twice in the early 60's at her home in Evanston "when I was a young girl" (wild teenager). I believe she taught me that song, and taught me the cords to "Once I had a sweetheart, and now I've got none..." This is the first song I ever learned on the guitar; I later sang it to my daughter as part of our bedtime repertoire. I am now in my sixties, and I have tried to find news of her, but just heard Kathy Kallick's song on WFMT tonight and heard the news of her passing. I am sorry she has passed. I remember her as caring and generous. I remember the No Exit Cafe well.
