Was wondering if there were any Catters familiar with Sammy Horner?

Sammy is a Scotland-based Irish Singer/songwiter and an incredibly talented muso. He's also a very funny guy to talk to and listen to on stage.

He has grown up around and plays folk - but primarily he plays Celtic Praise music. He also recently started recording some 'darker' 'secular' stuff which he plays in his 'alternative' band called 'The Electrics' (I think their first CD comes out later this year) and which Sammy refers to as his "Celtic Punk" group.

While some may not be impressed at his Christian lyrics, the sound is phenomenal and his secular stuff is at least as good as his Christian stuff.

If you haven't heard him or listened to his stuff, may I suggest you grab a copy of "Celtic Praise" - 'Red' CD's are a mixture of electric, percussion, bodhran or drums, mandolin, fiddle, celtic harp etc while his 'Green' CD is purely acoustic.

I'm curious to know if any of you know of him and what you think - I personally love his stuff and he's also a really nice guy as well as entertaining in concert.
