Pure maple syrup and walnuts - maple-walnut (my favorite) If you can get it, Mexican vanilla is the best. Make your own chocolate syrup. Mix 1/4 C pure cocoa powder with 1/2 C sugar. Add water to make a thick sauce. Stir over heat until it begins to boil. Let it boil gently for 3-4 minutes (don't stir or it will 'sugar'). Drizzle over ice cream. Top with chopped nuts, etc. You can probably add this to the ice cream as you're making it if you want a rich chocolate ice cream. Super delicious and less expensive than ready-made chocolate syrup.
