Ard mhacha Unfortunately that is true, but I suspect that if the Glensmen and indeed any county in Ireland had to put with over 30 years of bombings, shootings etc on their doorstep the level of football and hurling would also have declined in those areas. Now that peace is here to stay(hopefully) there will be a great improvement in the Belfast area athletes. I personally believe that Antrim football teams were better when they picked a bunch of guys from the bottom of the Springfield road, instead they try to pick players from as many clubs as possible, so that all areas are represented. Hurling (the better and classier game) is a diferent kettle of fish. The children in the glens are born with a hurl in one hand and a sliothar in the other. - So long as the gaelic games are being played then we are all winners. I can't wait to see an All-Ireland champion Antrim team consisting of both taigs and prods. That will be a day for celebration. I know it will be a long long wait, but we can always hope,
