I recently had someone tell me that seeing me always made her smile. I'm not really the kind of person that makes people smile. I don't try to make people smile. I'm not outgoing. I'm not cheerful. I'm not one of those that always has the right thing to do or say. I'm an introverted, standoffish, dyed-in-the-wool, cynic who is hard-pressed to make herself smile, never mind anyone else. I was so confused.
