Hi, The church of scientology is little known in the UK .The Charities Commision refuse to grant the group charitable status on the grounds that it is not a religion, most brits are totally unaware of its existance and although the BBC chose to investigate it most are still blissfully unaware of the church. Of those that have an informed view it will be coloured by the recent coverage by the BBC or personal participation (a number of parents have been disowned by church members ) I personally am quite well read and although Ihave heard of the scientologists have never known the creed or practise of its members nor the extent to which they have established a foothold in the uk
