I worked with Laura at the old KDNA radio in St. Louis back around 1970. She was one of many young people (she must have been about 17 at the time) who wandered through KDNA, which was one of the pioneer "community radio" operations, but unlike most of them, she stayed and was part of the family -- much of the staff lived upstairs in the old house in Gaslight Square that contained the studio on the ground floor. I hadn't seen or talked to her in years, but she was an old and good friend. She left us much too soon.
