John D got dissed a lot for being a pop-folk singer, but some of his early stuff is lovely. I actually (sticks neck out) like most of his songs, but mostly for their joy at life, not for their musical merit. Many of his earlier songs were more...contemplative, and I think these might have more of a true folk style.
