It is printed in "America's Memory Valley" by Albert E. Brumley and Sons, Inc., Powell MO, original copyright Albert E. Brumley/Hartford Music Company "Lights of Life", Hartford AK 1936. I have a page copied from somewhere which also has guitar chords, copyright renewal Albert E. Brumley and Sons 1964. "America's Memory Valley" is copyright 1992.
Joe Offer in a previous thread mentioned the use of some of Brumley's work in his Catholic Church service. Some of us in our Congregational Church here in New Hampshire have been pushing for inclusion of some of the older, folkier hymns in the service against the resistance of my wife as chair of the Music Committee and the pastor. The pastor has asked for a list of what people would like to sing but with no promise that he would use it. So far neighboring churches' use of "Life Is Like a Mountain Railway" and Bill Staines' "Place in the Choir" in memorial services have been the most we have heard. Am trying to have Jean Ritchie's "Now Is the Cool of the Day" used on Earth Day.
