Some time ago I asked for help finding an electric guitar which was not too hard for an acoustic player like myself to make the transition. I was thinking in particular about neck width. In the end, I bought a Hamer Sunburst, a kind of double-cutaway made-in-China Gibson copy. I could review it, but Harmony Central has lots of reviews anyway. Suffice it to say that the neck width (the Hamer is quite wide) takes very little getting used to, and the easy action makes finger-picking a dream. It's really quite inspiring.
