If you're just beginning then you might find the JK DVD 'rather hard' -- he doesn't take any prisoners and it's easy to get lost. The flip side of that is that there's loads of information in it and everyone can learn things from it.

There aren't any other D/G DVDs as far as I know, but as well as Mally's book, mentioned above, there is a new tutor by George Garside (search for melodeon on eBay, he generally has one for sale there) which doesn't require any knowledge of the dots at all, and a fairly new tutor by Maggie Moore, Maggie's Melodeon. All of these are suitable for absolute beginners.
