Hi, all. I've not been shopping for guitars for a long time (I'm very happy with my Takamines), but it seems like I've been noticing something new (to me) lately in a couple of guitar stores: the acoustic bass guitar. Now, it seems to me that I recall stand-up bass, and if you were in a rock band, electric bass guitar, but I have no memory of any acoustic bass guitars. Is this really something new? Anyone have any experience with this class of bass guitars? Is this something that could be added to an acoustic-only group to advantage? Anybody know the pros and cons?
