Mooh, I think you are on the right track. I have played some truly superb prewar Martins, but a couple of the custom, luthier built new guitars I've also played have been just as good and much cheaper. Even the Gibson J-50 I bought new thirty-six years ago is turning into a fine, vintage instrument. Start your own tradition. Buy the best new instruments and hold them long enough for them to become Vintage collectors items. ( [=O=)===={:::]
