Try Jardine's smokey mesquite BBQ sauce as an alternative for now. It is a little more sweet than Woodys, but good. Also, try Austin's Own. Both can be purchased at Whole Foods. My Faux Woodys is rather lengthy, and I will submit later. I achieved some of the bitter taste by adding several tablespoons of jalepeno juice from a jar of sliced jalepenos. I know that wasn't in the ingredients listed on the Woody's label, but could this be the secret in the sauce??? I would be interested to hear your opinions.
