There are a number of Music Hall songs about the police. The three that immediately spring to mind are:
"I should Like to be a Policeman",
"Helping the Police with their Enquiries"
and the one that has the chorus "If you want to know the time ask a Policeman"

The first can certainly be found in Victorian Folk Songs (Essex Music 1965)but you should find at least one in any collection of Victorian / Music Hall songs.
