"Child abuse"? That's very funny!

Mea maxima culpa, but as it happens, several of the children referred to in my post are vegetarians and were on the point of just skipping the whole business or eating fried dough for lunch by the time we found those cruel and abusive pitas...maybe we redeemed the situation ever so slightly with the ice cream that followed? But now I'm rethinking the matter, maybe they just shouldn't be allowed to go to county fairs at all, no matter how much they enjoy the farm animals or the carnival rides. In any case, I have to agree that those 200 lb ten-year-olds certainly are fortunate to have parents who are willing to fork over $40 to make sure they get as much fried food as they can manage. It's the American way!
