Horizon Award : Jackie Oates, Mawkin, Lisa Knapp, Bella Hardy (trust me on this one...she'll likely get very big very fast)
Album of the Year : Martin Simpson, Kate Rusby, June Tabor

the Folk Awards simply must go ahead or else no artists will know when to release their albums!

I know of three big folk releases scheduled for March 2008 - the new Eliza Carthy, Seth Lakeman and Jim Moray albums - so perhaps people have moved on and are going for the Mercury awards instead!
