Thanks to all for the advice and encouragement.   Apparantly, the region's musicians like the prospects for the weekend, as I have received a number messages from very fine (but little-known) players who are making their way in for the weekend strictly for "the craic".

We were pleased to learn last year that the local population were able to enjoy and embrace the Irish Trad music. You would think that the indigenous string music from the region gave the Kentucky folk a sort of easy access to the textures and tempos of Irish Trad.   We're hoping that we get an exponential word-of-mouth lift from last year's attendees.

A note to buskers - the Fest's site is quite expansive and there's loads of shaded nooks and crannies to shout out yer best stuff with an open hat at your feet.   Yer welcome here but please don't eat the daisies...
