I've a rare opportunity - traveling from somewhere near Edinburgh to somewhere near Oxford on Monday 22 October but able to take it easy and stop over somewhere sort of half way. Anyone know a good venue broadly anywhere between say the line of the A66 and that of the M62 for an evening's music with some singing, and a touch of the traditional (but I'll not be obsessive!). If I really hit the jackpot it'll be in a quaint Olde Worlde pub with fine beer, where I can also get a room for the night, but all suggestions welcome! Thanks in anticipation. SJ
