Bill D I agree it is not nice to CALL someone stupid to their face. It's not nice to call anyone stupid at all whether to their face or behind their backs.
But it is NOT correct that some folks ways of doing things ".... are just as valid as anyone else's,"...witness Rapaire's story above...or unplugging the fax/copier. Why is it not correct because YOU say so, that's just right ignorant.

If you fire someone who smokes around gasoline or gunpowder, you WILL be justified in explaining it to others as 'avoiding the results of stupidity'

If someone did this then they need educating in the dangers of their actions, calling them stupid is not the way.

Stupidity has a different meaning, Foolishness, inanity, folly and more, whereas stupid means; unintelligent, dim, thick, dense, slow, dull, brainless, dim-witted, and obtuse.
