Black Diamond Hop tu Naa - traditional celebration, Isle of Man (22) RE: Hop tu Naa 18 Oct 07

Hi Bo
well what a small world, except in the IoM where apparently a small world is a large world (re the travelling) ha ha ha. So we were at the same place at the same time and we were in the audience all afternoo, sat and watched you and we didnt know it!!
yes thats right at St Johns, and the violinist from the Folk Dance Group was there - they made us very welcome, although there was a lot of ribaldry about "the English" - I got the distinct impression that the English are the butt of jokes over there!! we played Orange in Bloom, someone asked where it came from, to be told England, and the reply was "Oh, its quite good for an English tune" but I think it was in jest!! ha ha
Im glad that Manx is making a come back - keep up the good work
I recommend the IoM to anyone looking for a holiday, except..... dont go during the TT races ....... ducks and runs
Lin
