Since Lammas-day is the traditional thanksgiving day for the grain harvest, a sort of English Festival of Weeks, something to do with grain is appropriate, especially BEER! BEER! BEER! The agricultural calendar is a little different in the U.S., it is true, due to different climates and different default "corn" here. To me that just means we get to party twice! T.
