The Newspaper I work for is resurrecting an old scavenger hunt type game for the readers they call "The Gold Rush" and they are planning to do some radio ads to support it. I have been asked to be the voice of the grizzled old prospector for the character they always use in the print ads.

I am excited, it sounds like fun. (A nice break from the chaos of a Newspaper that is being restructured by the new owners, but that is another story.) I love doing voices for jokes, and I love jokes and as a former bartender have had many a chance to hone my delivery. I do a fair Scotsman, and a pirate voice that frankly suits me!

I'm not sure when we will record the commercial but if I can I'll try to link the audio to a post. ( Unless there is a tidal wave of
opposition.)
