The Chicago area still has the midnight special at WFMT, 98.7 fm. WBEZ, the public station figures at Thistle & Shamrock and Prairie Home Companion are all the folk that we need. They used to have several other shows, but dumped them when a new station manager came on. I stopped pledging at that point. Now, when they call, I tell them I will start pledging again when they present another locally produced folk show. WDCB in Glen Ellyn at 90.9 has several good folk shows.
