I had some health problems earlier in the year, but they're better now. I was told i had diabetes, but i decided to fight back. I lost 41 lbs since March, and I had a blood test last month that said my blood sugar is back to normal, my good cholesterol is up and bad cholesterol is way down. My doctor sent me to a series of diabetes education classes held at the hospital, and one of the sessions included meeting with a dietitian. My diet calls for counting carbohydrates-- i get 45g for breakfast, 60g for lunch, 45g for supper & 30g for an evening snack. With most food having nutrition labels that list carbs, it isn't very hard to keep track. i've learned to plan ahead if i want something in particular. I've dropped white bread completely, but i miss waffles. Looking to lose another 30 during 2008, but anything in that direction would be good.
