GUEST,Marie Advice-Suitable songs for GAA Skor competition (42) RE: Song Advice-suitable songs for Skor competition 24 Jan 08

In this competition there are many sections such as Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation, Ballad Groups, Question Time, Novelty Act, Set Dancing

In this you represent your own local GAA club and compete at County level. You can pick your own dances, tunes or songs but they must have some Irish background or culture. There are two Scór competitions, one at junior level (up to age 16) and senior level (over 17 I think!!).
If you succeed you then go to represent your County at Provincial level.
I sang solo singing two years ago and made it to the Leinster final singing My Own Dear Galway Bay. I have loads of songs but looking for something really suitable this year.

hope this helps
